Councilman Jimmy Dossett is retired and graduated from Hopkinsville High School in 1973. Dossett has served on City Council since 2009 and currently holds positions on the Hopkinsville Solid Waste Enterprise Board and the Pennyrile Solid Waste Management Authority. He has also served as Vice President and PowWow Chairman for the Trail of Tears Commission for four years and as President of the Vaperz Car & Truck Club for five years.
He is married to the former Becky Craft, and they have two children and four grandchildren. He has worked with the Boy Scouts for several years. There, he helped his son earn an Eagle Scout Award and is continuing the tradition with his grandson through Cub Scouts.
