A graduate of Christian County High School, Charlie Henderson is small business owner/agent for State Farm Insurance. He serves as deacon and Sunday School Director at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Henderson has also been active in the community through work with the Hopkinsville Christian County Youth League, the Jaycees, Leadership Hopkinsville, and Heritage Christian Academy.
Councilman Henderson has served on City Council since 1997. He currently holds a position on the Hopkinsville-Christian County Ambulance Service Board, Economic Development Council, Long-Range Planning Coordination Committee, and Tax Increment Finance Development Authority. Past board appointments include terms with Hopkinsville Electric System, Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority, and the Chamber of Commerce boards.
He has been married 28 years to Robin Hancock Henderson and has two daughters Ali Marie and Jordan McCarley. Henderson has been a certified high school official in baseball, softball, and football for over 25 years. He loves to hunt pheasant, quail, and deer and enjoys vacations to the beach.
