Landbank Authority Proudly Builds on Successful Vision
The goal of the Hopkinsville and Christian County Landbank Authority has always been to assist with the revitalization effort that is taking place in Hopkinsville’s Inner City by providing new affordable housing, new industry, and jobs for the citizens of the County. In the fall of 2009, the Landbank announced the successful completion of its first collaboration with a local developer in constructing affordable housing in the inner-city. The Landbank is proud to announce that its efforts continue to be a success!
Contractor/developer CGW Partners, LLC has helped the Landbank continue to achieve its goal of providing safe and sanitary housing for individuals and families by constructing a nine-unit multi-family residential development at the intersection of East 7th Street and Brown Street. Because this property is located within the Hopkinsville Eastside Neighborhood Association boundaries, the developer was able to take advantage of incentive opportunities available to assist with the cost of construction.
The Landbank would like to thank everyone involved and hopes this success story will blossom into several more in the future.
