Holiday Hours at the Museum
The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County wishes the community a Happy Holiday season. We hope you make some history with your family and friends, and we appreciate your support of the museum and its mission to tell the authentic stories of this community.
We will be open at the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation tomorrow, Saturday, December 21 from 10am until 2pm, next Friday, December 27 from 10am until 4pm, and Saturday, December 28 from 10am until 2pm. Stop by to pick up a last minute stocking stuffer, or bring your family in to see our collection of automobiles, fire trucks, and fire memorabilia.
We will be closed Monday, December 23 through Thursday, December 26 and on New Year’s Day.
The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County cultivates regional pride and tells our community’s authentic stories by creating an enjoyable, engaging learning environment that encourages conversations about our unique history and diverse heritage.
The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County includes the Pennyroyal Area Museum (217 E. 9th Street) and the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum (310 E. 9th Street). The Pennyroyal Area Museum is currently closed to the public as we undergo a major renovation. General admission to the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum is $2 with special rates for seniors and children; there is no admission fee for the Museum Shop. Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 9am-4pm; Saturday, 10am-2pm; Closed Sunday and Monday. For more information, visit MuseumsofHopkinsville.org.
