Arts Entrepreneurship Workshop to be Held in Hopkinsville, KY on March 4, 2017
Branding, Planning, Marketing, and Getting Started with Etsy
The Hopkinsville Art Guild has scheduled a one-day entrepreneurship workshop in Hopkinsville on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 9am-4pm for those individuals who want to bring their visual or performing art to the business world. This event includes a session of artist branding, action planning, marketing, preparing to apply for adjudicated opportunities and a session of getting started with Etsy in partnership with the Kentucky Arts Council. Those interested in attending this workshop, should contact the Hopkinsville Art Guild by sending an email to email@example.com to enroll. Cost is $15 for Guild members and $20 for non-Guild members. The Kentucky Innovation Network Murray Office is sponsoring this event with the Hopkinsville Art Guild. “We realize there is a population of creative artists who want to learn how they can turn their creative talent into a business, and we want to help and encourage these individuals to pursue their dreams,” said Loretta Daniel, Director of the Kentucky Innovation Network Office at Murray State University. Henrietta Kemp, workshop coordinator for the Hopkinsville Art Guild says, “We are so glad to be able to offer this program in Hopkinsville. I attended a similar program in Lexington and found it to be most helpful. Jennifer has wonderful ideas of ways to promote all types of creative endeavors. This is not just for visual artists.”
Jennifer Reis will be the workshop leader for this event. She is Gallery Director and Arts Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator and Faculty at Morehead State University. In addition, Jennifer is a creative entrepreneur, artist, educator and curator with over twenty years’ experience and several college degrees in arts business and administration. She is a consultant through KPAN, AIR Institute of Berea College, Etsy’s Craft Entrepreneurship Program, and is also a certified small business development instructor.

The workshop location is the Christian County Chamber of Commerce at 2800 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville, KY. The upstairs conference room will be the location for the workshop.
