The City of Hopkinsville announced the festival headliner lineup for the 2017 Summer Salute Festival presented by Jennie Stuart Health. The Jimmy Church Band will kick-off the 3-day music festival on Friday, August 18, 2017 for the second year in a row.

Multi-Platinum CMA and ACM recording artist Tracy Lawrence will headline Saturday’s lineup with songs such as “Paint Me a Birmingham,” “Time Marches On,” “Alibis” and “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.” The entertainer has enjoyed twenty-two songs on the Billboard top ten charts with eighteen number one singles, selling over thirteen million albums.

Sunday, concert goers will be treated to the sounds of arena rock tribute band The Classic Rock Experience, playing covers of 70s bands like Styx, Journey, Pink Floyd, Boston, and Led Zepplin.

This concert series is free to the public and will be a must-attend event for visitors and residents alike leading up to the Solar Eclipse on August 21st.  This year’s event will feature side stages with scheduled musical acts throughout the weekend, including Christian music on Church Day Sunday.

Last year’s Summer Salute Festival featured the musical stylings of the Jimmy Church Band and Diamond Rio drawing crowds of over 5,000 to the Justice Center parking lot for the free event.
