“We had many requests from dog owners around the community for this event so we are responding with a ‘paw-ty’ for the pets,” said Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman. “Similar dog-only events are held in pools all over the country. Our local Doggie Dip is another expanded offering at Tie Breaker, like the Teen Nights over the summer.”
Doggie Days rules allows for pets only in the water. No humans will be allowed in the water. The big slides will also be closed but the rest of the water park will be open for the dogs to swim and cool off. Supervision will be in place.
The Labor Day weekend marks the final days of Tie Breaker operation for humans. Tie Breaker will be open for human enjoyment this Saturday from 10 a.m. till 7:00 p.m., Sunday from noon-7:00 p.m. and closing day, Labor Day, from 10:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m.
