Mayor Hendricks noted, “As part of our planning and coordination, we have been in contact with the United States Conference of Mayors and Houston officials who would like to share the following guidance with local groups and individuals still interested in participating.”
- Immediate needs include toiletries, cleaning supplies, and diapers.
- Please do not send clothing, bedding or furniture at this time.
- Financial donations may continue to be directed to the Red Cross, Salvation Army, or the Greater Houston Community Foundation at www.ghcf.org.
The city has also partnered with Calhoun and Company to open a central donation staging area at the old Sears Building located at 2418 Fort Campbell Boulevard (next to Restoration House). Donations may be brought to this location or other partner locations through next Wednesday. Those items will be packed and staged on Thursday, September 14 and loaded on Friday, September 15 for delivery in Houston by next weekend.
For other local relief effort updates including a complete listing of other drop-off location, please see the partner directory on Facebook @HopkinsvilleHarveyRelief.
