Hopkinsville Beautification Commission to Host "Make A Difference Day" on October 28th

The Hopkinsville Beautification Commission is hosting “Make A Difference Day” community beautification and clean-up activities this Saturday, October 28, 2017 and you can be a part.

 

Meet us at Founder's Square as we work together to pick up litter around our town. Coffee and donuts will be available at 9:00am and Mayor Carter Hendricks will address the volunteers at 9:30am. Let's work together to keep our city clean and attractive. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. This is a great event for youth groups, churches, civic clubs, families and more.

About the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission

The Hopkinsville Beautification Commission was created by city ordinance on January 15,

2008. The Commission plans, oversees and administers city landscape, cleanup and

beautification efforts and programs including grant applications; management, recruiting and

coordinating of volunteers; and education of the public regarding beautification issues. The

Commission administers the community-wide landscape and beautification plan in

cooperation with government and non-government agencies and organizations in Christian

County, Kentucky. Our mission is to promote the public interest and to enhance quality of life

by creating a more appealing, pleasant and inviting place in which to live, work, and play.
