Hopkinsville Mayor Hendricks Recommends a New City Administrator

Mayor Carter Hendricks today announced that he is recommending Troy Body to become Hopkinsville’s next City Administrative Officer.  Troy is a native of Harlan County, Kentucky, and holds a Master’s degree in political science from Marshall University and a Bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Kentucky.

Mayor Hendricks stated, “I’m very excited to recommend Mr. Troy Body as the City’s next CAO.  Troy’s experience with city, state, and federal government will provide him with a unique set of skills and experience that we believe will help our community grow and move forward.  We look forward to working with Troy and his enthusiasm, energy, and experience.”  Hendricks added, “I’d also like to thank the members of our search process including Council members Wendell Lynch, Amy Craig, and Tom Johnson.  I look forward to City Council’s appointment of Troy as the City of Hopkinsville’s next City Administrative Officer.”   

Mayor Hendricks is recommending that Mr. Body begin at a salary of $92,620 which is Grade 24-C under the city’s pay matrix.  If approved by City Council during its meeting Tuesday evening, Mr. Body’s employment with the city would begin effective May 14, 2018.
