Hopkinsville Welcomes Troy Body as New City Administrator

Mayor Carter Hendricks invites the community to attend a welcome reception to meet and greet Hopkinsville’s new City Administrative Officer Mr. Troy Body.  The event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 5 from 5:00 p.m. until just before the 6:00 p.m. City Council meeting in the Hopkinsville Municipal Center first floor lobby.  Hendricks said, “We are excited to have Troy join Team Hopkinsville and look forward to seeing media, city employees, and members of the greater community stop by to wish him well and lend their support.”

Body joins the city with fifteen and a half years of executive-level experience in non-profit and local, state, and federal government administration.  A Harlan County native, Troy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in communications with a journalism emphasis from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s Degree in political science on urban, state and local government from the Marshall University.  In his free time, Troy enjoys travelling, collecting African and Asian art, and reading books about good governance and history, public libraries, and parks.
