Jeffers Bend icon

Everyone is invited to attend NatureFest at Jeffers’ Bend Environmental Center where hundreds of area children and adults will come to wander along Little River and participate in many activities designed for all ages to experience nature.

Enjoy the beauty of nature while discovering all the natural opportunities Jeffers’ Bend has to offer. Explore a walk in the woods along Little River, take an adventure through the Soil Tunnel “an amazing underground world of insects”, or take a leisurely canoe ride on the Windmill Lake. Children, Teens and Adults will experience a great afternoon of fun in the outdoors on Saturday, September 21st, 2013.

The event will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the 40 Acre Jeffers’ Bend Environmental Center located off of North Main Street in Hopkinsville. To reach the center you turn onto Metcalf Lane at the intersection of North Main and Glass Avenue. Travel on Metcalf Lane around and behind Riverside Cemetery to reach Jeffers’ Bend. It is sponsored by the Jeffers’ Bend Steering Committee, Pennyrile RC&D, City of Hopkinsville, Pennyrile Plumbing and Roeder Implement, Toyota of Hopkinsville and Sisk Auto Mall.
