All ramps at the Interstate 24 Exit 86 Interchange with U.S. 41-Alternate are now open to normal traffic flow.
As a reminder, starting on Monday, September 16, 2013, the U.S. 41-Alternate northbound ramps to I-24 eastbound and westbound will be closed. They are expected to remain closed until Friday, September 20th.
These ramp closures are part of ongoing roadway rehabilitation work along Interstate 24 from the 86 to 93 mile marker. This work zone continues to have a 55 mile per hour speed limit with an enhanced enforcement presence.
At this time I-24 westbound Kentucky Welcome Center at the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line is expected to remain closed until sometime late in the day on Friday to allow a new driving surface to be placed on the rest area entrance and exit ramps. KYTC will attempt to provide timely notice when the welcome center is back in service.
