CityScapes Photo Contest Winners Announced

City officials announced the Hopkinsville CityScapes photo contest a huge success, with over eighty-two images submitted by eighteen area photographers.  Contest winners reflected Hopkinsville cityscapes from among these seven subject categories:

1.  6th Street between Main and Virginia Streets
     Category Winner: Hugh Duguid
     Honorable Mention: Nancy Stalls, David White

2.  Alhambra Theater on South Main Street
     Category Winner: Hugh Duguid
     Honorable Mention: Murray Blake, Angela Comperry

3.  Amphitheater behind Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library
     Category Winner: David White
     Honorable Mention: Angela Comperry

4.  L&N Depot on 9th Street
     Category Winner: Clarise Green
     Honorable Mention: Angela Comperry, Hugh Duguid, David White

5.  Little River Park on Bethel Street between 9th and 7th Streets
     Category Winner: Angela Comperry
     Honorable Mention: Maria Hudspeth, David White

6.  Old Clock Tower on 9th Street
     Category Winner: Murray Blake
     Honorable Mention: David White

7.  Artist's Choice (other interesting places in Hopkinsville)
     Category Winner: Hugh Duguid (Hopkinsville Community College) and David White (Farmers Market)
     Honorable Mention: Diane Boykin Benjamins (Pioneer Cemetery) and Clarise Green (old Cumberland
     Telephone & Telegraph Company)

In addition to earning $50 for each photo selected by a panel of judges, winning submissions and honorable mentions will also be displayed in the new municipal center currently under construction in downtown Hopkinsville.  Click HERE to see awarded images.
