women s history month

The Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission announces that award nominations for the Woman of the Year Award and scholarship applications forms are still being accepted for this year’s Women’s History Reception to be held on March 26, 2015.  The deadline will be extended to March 17, 2015 due to the inclement weather in the weeks prior.

The community is encouraged to nominate women in our area who through current or recent efforts make a positive impact on our community.  Nomination forms and Scholarship applications are available on the Human Relations Commission’s website, www.hoptown.org/HRC or by calling 270-887-4010.

The $500 “Women Education Women” scholarship, begun in 2012, will again be awarded to a resident of Christian County through the generous donations received through the “Give $10 Ask 10” Campaign.  This application and information on how you may add your support to the scholarship may also be accessed on the Human Relations Commission website.

Please submit your nominations and applications by mail to 715 S. Virginia Street PO Box 707, Hopkinsville, KY 42240, e-mail to djackson@hopkinsvilleky.us or fax to 270-885-0018 by March 17, 2015.
