Pennyroyal Arts Council and the Hopkinsville Art Guild are excited to partner again to publish a book about our county. “Christian County Counts” will be a number book representing places and things that make Christian County unique. The book will be available for the 2015 Holiday season.
“The Pennyroyal Arts Council is excited to work with the Hopkinsville Art Guild for our second act in publishing a book that is an ongoing fund-raiser for both organizations and a spectacular way to showcase our county,” explains Margaret Prim, Executive Director of the Arts Council. Carolyn Self, Guild President, adds, “Christian County Counts will showcase our best historic and popular features as well as great artists in this book.”
A call for entries is in place to solicit local artists to enter original artwork for the book. Entries can be either a photograph, painting, drawing, collage, pastel, or photograph of 3-D original. Artists can enter up to five pieces of work from the categories chosen by the committee. Deadline for intent to participate is May 29th. No artwork is required at this time.
The selected artwork will appear in the “Christian County Counts” Book along with artist’s biographies. A Silent Auction will kick-off the book sales this fall.
