Mayor Carter Hendricks and the Hopkinsville-Christian and Todd County Board of Realtors invite local canine enthusiasts and the general public to celebrate the ceremonial groundbreaking of Hopkinsville’s first dog park.  Come enjoy the chance to see the proposed dog park design, hear future plans for the venue, and find out when it is scheduled to open.

The groundbreaking will be held on Wednesday, August 5 at 4:30 p.m. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER OF THE HOPKINSVILLE MUNICIPAL CENTER, 715 SOUTH VIRGINIA STREET.

Mayor Hendricks noted, “We truly look forward to seeing the continued phased development of the park area into a premier destination for families, walkers, bikers, and animal lovers alike.”  He added, “We also welcome the opportunity to engage in another strong public-private partnership with organizations like the Board of Realtors.  With their assistance and City Council support, our first dog park is sure to grow into one we’ll all be proud of.”

At the groundbreaking, the public will learn how to get involved and support the park through upcoming fundraising efforts including options for tax-deductible corporate sponsorships, in-kind donations, and other recognition opportunities.
