Hopkinsville City Council member and Public Transportation Advisory Committee Chairman Paul Henson announced plans to make the first significant adjustments to Hopkinsville Transit routes since services began in January.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled with the way Hopkinsville has embraced the much needed public transportation services, which had delivered 13,160 rides as of Friday,” Councilman Henson remarked. He added, “With these route adjustments, we look forward to making Hopkinsville Transit even more rider friendly.”
Riders are encouraged to take note of the following stop relocations to be effective Monday, October 12, 2015. Maps detailing these changes are available online at www.hoptown.org/transit.
Blue Route Changes
- Harrison Street Stop (moving to 21st & Harrison Streets)
Red Route Changes
- 1st Street @ Clay Street Stop (moving to 2nd & Campbell Streets near Aaron McNeil)
- Riverfront Drive @ Main Fire Station Stop (moving to Riverfront Drive/2nd Street outside the Career Center)

This Deviated Fixed Route transportation service is a joint project of the City of Hopkinsville and PACS. Hopkinsville Transit services are made possible by funding from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet/Office of Transportation Delivery and general fund appropriations from Hopkinsville City Council. All Hopkinsville Transit transportation services are open to the public. Services deviate for the general public, including individuals with or without disabilities.
