The Pennyrile Area Development District is pleased to partner with the Pennyrile Municipal Clerks Association to recognize an Outstanding Clerk/Administrator in the Pennyrile region. The award is based on a broad range of criteria, including continued education, activity in community affairs, exhibition of leadership, and accomplishments. Active membership in the Pennyrile Municipal Clerks Association is also considered during the applicant review process. Ms. Leslie Curneal, City Clerk, Madisonville and President of the Pennyrile Municipal Clerks Association, presented the award to Ms. Upton at the meeting.
The Pennyrile Municipal Clerks Association is a professional organization that promotes the office of Municipal Clerk in the Pennyrile region through personal and professional development, enhancement of leadership abilities, and by providing a supportive network for individuals that hold the office. The organization serves as a regional chapter of the Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association.
