Mutt Strut on April 16th to Benefit Hopkinsville Dog Park

The Hopkinsville Dog Park Fundraising Committee is hosting a Mutt Strut on Saturday, April 16. Fun for both humans and dogs alike, the Mutt Strut will be a one mile walk on the Pennyrile Rail Trail. The Mutt Strut is presented by Skyline Animal Clinic, Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Westuck Veterinary Hospital, and Mansfield Animal Hospital with Max's Hope Pet Rescue.

During the Mutt Strut, walk, visit with pet vendors, enter to win prizes, and listen to music provided by First Dance DJ Service. Registered Mutt Strutters will have the opportunity to have a professional photo taken with their pup, food will be available for purchase, and more. Proceeds from the Mutt Strut will be used to help complete the Hopkinsville Dog Park.

The fundraiser will begin at the Pardue Lane Trailhead, the future home of the Hopkinsville Dog Park. Come hear about plans for the dog park and an update on progress on April 16.

Registration, t-shirt pickup and many of the festivities will begin at 10 AM. The one-mile walk will start at 11 AM.

Register online on Eventbrite ( or visit the Hopkinsville Dog Park on Facebook for a downloadable form. Return the form & payment to the Board of Realtors office in Hopkinsville. T-shirts will only be guaranteed to those registering before Monday, March 21. Registration is $30.

Also during this weekend celebrating pets, the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre will be held on Sunday, April 17 at the Alhambra Theatre. Chances to win tickets to Sunday’s performance will be available during Saturday’s Mutt Strut.
