Solar Eclipse Community Forum Scheduled to Update Hopkinsville Residents

Locals Encouraged to Submit Questions and Concerns Regarding 2017 Solar Eclipse


The City of Hopkinsville announced that it will hold its inaugural Solar Eclipse Community Forum on Monday, October 3rd at 6:30 p.m. at the Thomas Street Rec Center located at 2600 Thomas Street.

This forum will be open to all members of the public and will serve as an information session for general updates about planning for the solar eclipse, as well as logistical components such as accommodations, utilities, safety and plans to coordinate the anticipated high traffic areas.

There will be a section of the evening dedicated to answering questions of those in attendance.  There is also an option to submit questions in advance of the forum, by visiting https://www.kentuckynewera.com/forms/eclipse/ .

For individuals unable to attend this forum, it will be streamed live on the Solar Eclipse Hopkinsville 2017 Facebook page, where users can watch online.
