Conference Center Expansion

December 2018: Projected construction completion.
December 2017: Construction contract awarded to A&K Construction with work scheduled to begin after groundbreaking December 18.
April 2017: Design development is complete.
February 2017: City Council approved $1,000,000 toward project.

Alhambra Theater

November 2018: Construction completed and programming resumed.
August 2017-present: Interior and exterior renovations is underway.
June-August 2017: Marquee replacement completed.
April 11, 2017: County accepted Trio Signs bid for marquee replacement.

Pennyroyal Area Museum

Late fall 2019: Projected construction completion.
December 2018: Exhibit design and temporary relocation of some 15,000 artifacts completed.  Renovation construction scheduled to begin in January.

October 2017: Issued requests for proposals for exhibit design, fabrication of the main gallery, architectural design, inspection, and construction supervision services for the rehabilitation project.
April 2017: Project is in design phase.

Ag Expo

October 2018: Christian Fiscal Court approved a $1.7 to $2 million partnership with the Christian County Agricultural Extension Foundation to establish a new 45,000 square foot indoor ag facility that will play host to livestock shows, youth activities like archery and other events in the local community.  Construction is slated to begin this fall adjacent to the extension office on Pembroke Road. 
May 2017: Markin Consulting presented draft market demand assessment study for proposed Western Kentucky Ag Expo Center intended to serve Christian, Trigg and Todd counties.  

February 2017: City Council approved $1,000,000 toward project.
February 2, 2017: Markin Consulting hosted public community forum as part of continued feasibility/market study work.

Project Financing

June 2018: City Council approved phase 2 bonds to fund $3.445 million in WINS projects.  
December 2017: City Council approved phase 1 bonds to fund $7.335 million in WINS projects.
