A retired Hopkinsville Police Officer, Terry Parker is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the Academy of Police Supervision, and Criminal Justice Executive Development. Parker has remained active in the community through work with Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County, the KY High School Athletic Association, the Military Affairs Committee, the Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Operation Eagles Nest.
Councilman Parker was elected to serve on City Council beginning in 2015. He currently serves as Chair of the Committee of the Whole and holds positions on the Emergency Communications Center Board, the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council, Hopkinsville Electric System Board, and Christian County Weather Spotters Board. Past board appointments include terms with the Christian County Chamber of Commerce Board, Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission, and chairmanship of the Military Affairs Committee.
He has been married 20 years to Paige Eli Parker and has two daughters: Allyson McKenzie a student at WKU and Ashlyn Paige a 7th grader at UHA. They are active members of First United Methodist Church.
