EMT Training

Hopkinsville-Christian County EMS is a Kentucky licensed Training and Education Institute (TEI) through the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KBEMS) providing Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), and Paramedic initial training courses.  In addition, this program also conducts Critical Care Paramedic Courses, continuing education classes, CPR, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, and other EMS courses. 

Since 2011, Program Director Phillip Ferguson and Instructor Michael Cornett have trained over 100 students. 

Hopkinsville-Christian County EMS has an outstanding pass rate with NREMT (AEMT & EMT—Previous 24 months):

  • Last Paramedic Program: 94% or 15/16 First Time Pass Rate 
  • AEMT:  94% or 29/31 First Time Pass Rate 
  • EMT:  100% or 34/34 First Time Pass Rate 

Hopkinsville-Christian County EMS EMT Program 

Hopkinsville-Christian County EMS EMT Program is a comprehensive certificate program designed to provide basic knowledge and skill proficiency in the delivery of emergency prehospital care. The course includes basic life support procedures with evaluation, planning, interventions, and re-valuation in regards to the acutely ill or injured patient in accordance with the National Scope of Practice. Successful course completion may lead to National Registry certification as an EMT.
