New in 2020, up to three interns will be selected to participate in the city’s college student internship designed to encourage Hopkinsville natives to return to their hometown to work after earning their degrees. Therefore, priority will be given to students from Hopkinsville or Christian, Todd, and Trigg Counties.
Applicants will be selected through a competitive application and interview process and gain meaningful, real-world experience in one of three departments: Administration, Fire & EMS, or Public Works. They also must be currently enrolled in a college or university and available to work 30 hours a week for a $2,250 stipend paid bi-weekly.
Completed application packages for college student interns must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2020. Most applications must be accepted via the approved online portal of a student’s college or university.
If your collegiate institution does not have an authorized online job application portal, please email your resume and cover letter to email@example.com. Be sure to indicate which internship area(s) you wish to be considered for.
