Commemorative Eclipseville Signs Go to Auction

City officials announced the next surplus property auction will be run online for two weeks beginning Tuesday, September 26 through Monday, October 9.  Details on auction items are available at

The next surplus auction will feature eleven commemorative Solar Eclipse signs including:

  • Five (5) – 4’x4’ Solar Eclipse Viewing Site Signs (black background)
  • Five (5) – 4’x4’ Home of the Solar Eclipse Signs (white background)
  • One (1) – 3’x4’ Solar Eclipse Display Sign (black background)

Signs will be sold separately with bidding beginning at $100 each.  Successful bidders must register to purchase signs through and, at the end of the auction, pick up items from the Public Works Complex located at 705 North Main Street in Hopkinsville. Signs will not be shipped. 

Two additional 3’x4’ Solar Eclipse Display Signs will be donated for use at local organizations:  one to the Pennyroyal Area Museum and the other to the Convention & Visitors Bureau Welcome Center.
