Mayor Hendricks echoed his confidence in city staff preparation adding, “Our team at Public Works does a consistently outstanding job of remaining ready to mobilize for significant weather occurrences. Their professionalism and dedication is much appreciated.”

During this season, roadways are occasionally affected by weather. As part of our street maintenance program, the City Maintenance division conducts snow and ice removal to mitigate the conditions during snow and ice events. The City has four priority routes for snow and ice removal. These routes are monitored by city staff on a regular basis in efforts to maintain traffic flow as near to normal as possible. Clearance of all secondary routes follows after primary routes are cleared.
