Hopkinsville Transit Celebrates 1,000th Rider with Additional Stop

Mayor Carter Hendricks invites the community to celebrate that Hopkinsville Transit welcomed its 1,000th rider in its first month of operations.  A further indication of the system’s growth, the public transportation service is excited to announce the addition of a new stop at the former BP station at the corner of Canton Street and Blane Drive.

Signage for the stop will be installed in the coming weeks; however, buses will begin picking up passengers and dropping them off at the BP station location beginning Monday, February 16.  Service at all forty-two Hopkinsville Transit stops is available Monday thru Friday from 5:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. with rates as low as $1 each way.

For more info on planning your trip, call (270) 890-6055 during office hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., visit, or email
