Hopkinsville Parks & Recreation Launches New Interactive Department Website/Portal

The City of Hopkinsville’s Division of Parks and Recreation has launched the new website,, using RecDesk software.  The new interactive portal is now also linked through the City of Hopkinsville’s website at

Community members can now register online to become a member of the Parks and Recreation website. All of the community parks facilities and programs can be accessed for reservation and participation from the new site.  Facilities, including pavilions, athletic fields, and the Thomas Street Center have been listed on the website and can be reserved and paid for online as they become available.

“I am excited that our Parks and Recreation team, under Tab Brockman’s leadership, is bringing a 21st century opportunity to Team Hopkinsville allowing better access to our parks and recreational amenities through a new online approach including more readily available information and online reservations.  This is particularly helpful as we continue to plan for the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse!” Mayor Carter Hendricks stated earlier this week.

“The City of Hopkinsville has been striving to be more customer friendly and we believe the new Parks and Recreation website/portal addresses that goal,” Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman stated.

“Parks patrons can now make online transactions to reserve and pay for facility rentals.  And, registering on the park website also allows our most dedicated users the first notification about Parks and Rec event info.  Special thanks to staff member Toby Hudson, who led our team through several months of evaluation and preparation to bring these new features online,” Brockman stated.
