Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary Accepting Grant Applications

Group to award $4,000 grant to local community non-profit organization

The Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary today announces that applications for their bi-annual community grant will be accepted now through August 20.  Grant applicants eligible for the Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary community grant of $4,000 are Hopkinsville or Christian County-based non-profit organizations impacting the community.

The mission of the organization, the need for funds, how the grant would help the organization serve Christian County, how many will be served and details of the grant spend will all be considered in the decision to award the grant.  Organizations should submit a description of the program for which funds are requested.  Full details and the application for the community grant can be found online at or by contacting

The grant is made possible not only through fundraising work done by the Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary and its members, but also the support of the community through the group’s programming and events.  “We are so happy to once again be able to award a local non-profit agency this Community Grant so that they might continue to provide their valuable services to our community, or perhaps add a new service they may otherwise not be able to fund.”

For the 2018 grant, organizations have until August 20 to submit their grant application.  Interested organizations should contact Sarah Whitaker at, or visit to download the grant application.  Grant finalists will be contacted in September, with the grant awarded at the October Junior Auxiliary meeting.

The Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary was started in 1950 with the objective to be involved in the social, educational, civic, and cultural activities within Christian County.  The group’s mission is to render volunteer service and cooperate with other similar organizations.  Learn more about the Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary by visiting or find them on Facebook.
