Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary SBDM Seeks Input for Principal Search
MLK, Jr. Elementary School’s Site Based Decision Making (SBDM) Council is seeking input from staff, parents and the community in its search of a new principal.
Current principal, Cassandra Spearman, will be resigning from her position at the end of this school year. Spearman’s husband serves in the military and the family will be relocating to Texas.
A link to an online survey has been created, allowing participants to select criteria that they believe is most important when selecting a principal. Those interested in taking the online survey should visit surveymonkey.com/r/MLKPrincipalSelection. The survey will be open to participants now through Wednesday, January 18 (closing at 1:00 p.m.). All participants of the survey will remain anonymous.
Results of the survey will be compiled and reviewed by the Site Based Decision Making Committee.
The MLK SBDM will meet to discuss the principal selection search on the following dates: January 18, 23, 30 and Feb. 1. Meetings will begin at 3:00 p.m. and be held at the school.
*In the event that school is cancelled due to inclement weather on any of the above dates, the council will reschedule that meeting time..
