Night Paving Along US 41-Alternate Work Zone in HOPKINSVILLE Starting MONDAY Night, May 15th

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans night paving along the US 41-Alternate/Ft. Campbell Boulevard work zone in HOPKINSVILLE starting MONDAY night, May 15, 2017.

This work zone runs along US 41-Alternate/Ft. Campbell Boulevard between mile point 13.190 at the Clinic Drive/Sivley Road intersection extending northward through the Breathitt-Pennyrile Parkway Exit 7 Interchange to the northernmost entrance for Bradford Square Mall at mile point 13.943.

Traffic has been running on base courses of asphalt.  Crews are preparing to start paving of the final driving surface along a portion of the project at night to help reduce traffic congestion.  Motorists should be alert for changes in traffic configuration that will be required to facilitate night paving.

On Monday and Tuesday night paving activities will restrict traffic flow at the US 41-Alternate/Ft. Campbell Boulevard intersection with Clinic Drive and Sivley Road.  Some turns will be restricted at this intersection during the paving process.

The contractor is paving this area at night to help reduce traffic disruptions.

Motorists are asked to apply appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

Rogers Group, Inc., is the prime contractor on this $9,034,821 highway improvement project.

Approximately 25,000 vehicles travel this section of US 41-Alternate/Ft. Campbell Boulevard in an average day.
